Spotlight On: Bryan Mancuso + Miami, FL.

Bryan Mancuso began his career with Premium Parking back in 2010 as an Operations Manager in New Orleans, before moving on to Miami where he gained a greater understanding of the market. In 2019, Bryan rejoined the Premium team as Market President of South Florida.

How did you get started in the parking industry?

Well, that's a great question. As most of us in the industry say, we never planned on working in the industry! I was working in the oil and gas industry but then the Great Recession occurred. I had just graduated college and was looking to jump start my career. To be honest I do not remember if I applied or if our HR manager found me on a recruiting website. Nevertheless, I was thrilled to get the call and went to the trailer at Lot 148 in New Orleans to apply for my first job out of college. Yes, for those who don’t know…In the early days, Premium operated out of a trailer located on one of our first few locations, post-Katrina. Look at us now!

Do you have any favorite neighborhoods in Miami?

You can’t go wrong with a visit to Wynwood. It’s a cool spot in town that’s basically a huge art project with food and beverage options everywhere you turn. Also, since moving to South Florida, I’ve been fond of Coral Gables.  Driving through the oak and banyan tree lined streets reminds me of home.

What are some of your favorite spots?

When I want to relax and get away from the noise of the city, I go paddle boarding in the canals of Miami Beach. I am originally from a suburb of New Orleans and always crave food from New Orleans (even as I type this). I have a favorite restaurant called Shuck ‘N Dive in Fort Lauderdale. You are welcome for the free plug! Most of all I enjoy taking my daughter off-roading. She is a huge fan of taking the Jeep for a ride. I can’t tell you where those spots are though. No map will take you there.

What is something you learned from living in South Florida?

That I do not know as much Spanish as I thought I did.

What do your love most about being in Miami?

There is always something to do. You never run out of new places to visit and the places you go, are worth a return visit.
