Paid parking system now in effect at Keesler Federal Park garage

BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) — A new paid parking system is in effect at the Keesler Federal Park parking garage off Highway 90 near Caillavet Street in Biloxi.

Visitors are prompted to pay upon entry using the Premium Parking system, which was implemented in March.

City officials said this was the best way for the city to collect revenue following its acquisition of the garage.

“Whenever the Beau Rivage transferred over the parking garage to the city, arms were installed, and this was just the best way to implement a parking system instead of having people at the entrance every time taking money,” said Cecilia Dobbs-Walton, Biloxi Public Affairs Manager.

Parking rates start at $10. People can pay through an app or via text message.

Several events are held at Keesler Federal Park throughout the year. The park is also home to the Biloxi Shuckers.
