The following is an excerpt from a Wall Street Journal feature published November 28, 2025.
Twenty-three thousand fans will fill Arthur Ashe Stadium for a night session at the US Open. Most of them will not think about how they got there. That invisibility is the goal — and achieving it requires months of planning, sophisticated technology, and a level of operational precision that rivals anything happening on the court.
Premium Parking, which manages the parking operation at the US Open and a growing list of major tennis events, has made that invisibility its product. The company's platform processes more than 40,000 parking transactions on a peak US Open day, routes overflow traffic to satellite lots in real time, and dynamically adjusts pricing based on remaining inventory.
"When it works perfectly, no one notices," said Premium Parking's Head of Event Operations. "That's the highest compliment in this business."
